Look who’s back with yet another sci-fi show. Because clearly, the world was just begging for more mediocre content from the creators of Stargate. Can’t wait to see what recycled plot and cookie-cutter characters they have in store for us this time.
And don’t even get me started on their excuse for lack of creativity – apparently, it’s just too darn hard to come up with new planets when filming in the same area. Wow, what a groundbreaking revelation. Maybe if they had access to fancy video walls like The Mandalorian, they could actually come up with some original ideas.
But no worries, they’ve got a solution for their lack of imagination – just slap “Stargate” in the title and call it a day. Who cares if it’s been done before and probably better? As long as they can ride on the coattails of their past success, fans will eat it up.
And let’s not forget their newest project – The Ark. Because originality is overrated, right? Why bother creating something new when you can just keep milking your old ideas? Plus, who doesn’t love a good monster transformation story? Oh wait, we’ve seen that a million times before.
But fear not, dear viewers. If the first movie is successful (which, let’s be real, it probably won’t be), we may get the pleasure of experiencing Noriko’s tragic descent into becoming a monster in a potential sequel. Because nothing says compelling storytelling like recycling a character arc from countless other sci-fi movies.
So thank you, Stargate team, for gracing us with your lack of originality and reliance on technology advancements instead of actual talent. We wouldn’t want anything different.
