We Roast the Future

Movies

Can’t believe they’re remaking this flop.

Ugh, great. Another remake of a sci-fi movie from 21 years ago. Because we definitely don’t have enough of those already. But hey, at least they got the perfect director for it. I’m sure that will make all the difference for Save The Green Planet!

Let me guess, they’re going to make it with all CGI and explosions and call it a day. Because that’s what Hollywood does best – take something old and make it flashy and new.

But wait, what’s this? The original director is on board as a producer? Well, that’s something at least. Maybe they’ll actually honor the original and not completely butcher it like most remakes.

Oh, but of course, they have to throw in some “modern twists” to make it relevant. Because apparently, a story about time travel and alien invasions isn’t interesting enough on its own.

And who’s starring in this remake? Oh, just some no-name actors. Because why bother hiring actual talent when you can save money and just rely on special effects to carry the movie?

But hey, maybe they’ll at least get the aliens right this time. I mean, we’ve come a long way in terms of CGI in the past 21 years. Or maybe they’ll just use the same cheesy costumes from the original. That would be a real treat.

And let’s not forget about the inevitable sequel and franchise potential. Because why make one decent movie when you can milk it for all its worth?

Sorry, but I think I’ll stick to the original and its cheesy effects and all. At least it has heart and a cult following. This remake is just another cash grab in a sea of unoriginality. Thanks, Hollywood.

Everything you just said is wrong.
